Top 5 Crystals for Building Self Worth

As a Crystal Therapist there are some crystals I regularly turn to for clients who are too hard on themselves, who need to develop their sense of self-esteem, and find self-worth and love for themselves.

Here are my top 5 crystals to support your self-worth:

5.        Seraphinite

This deep green stone has silvery, feathery markings that always remind me of the angelic realm which it harmonises us with. The angels help us to receive love, to understand that we are already worthy, that we don’t have to strive to become acceptable, it is our birthright.  If you have trouble allowing love into your life you can use seraphinite to support you. Like most of my choices this is a heart-centred crystal. You might opt for a seraphinite crystal pendant to wear near to your heart chakra as a reminder of your innate worthiness. This is a relatively soft crystal and it can be scratched so do remove it if you are taking part in an activity where it could get damaged.

4.        Rhodochrosite

This pretty pink crystal has lacy patterning and is aligned with the energy of kindness and compassion, both for ourselves and for others. It’s a great crystal to reach for if you are too hard on yourself and need to find self-forgiveness. It’s really hard to get a true sense of self-worth when you blame yourself all the time. Remember we are all human, we all make mistakes, the important thing is we learn from them, then forgive ourselves and move on, hopefully a little wiser for the experience. Rhodochrosite is another heart-centred stone. As you place a piece on your heart you may find some old difficult memories come up, don't dwell on the pain, instead let them rise and see them as a sign that you are ready for the process of forgiveness and release.*

3.        Turquoise

I've noticed that women often put themselves last in the queue for receiving rest, relaxation and all the good things that make life more pleasurable. Whether you are a busy mum, or a woman caring for older parents you need to take some time out for yourself. It requires a shift of mindset to realise that treating yourself with care, replenishing your energy and enjoying your life is not selfish, you deserve it. Remember that as you replenish your own energy you'll have healthier reserves and be able to give more to others in turn. Try placing a piece of turquoise at your throat chakra if you find it hard to ask others for help, or a piece at your heart if you don’t feel like you deserve time for yourself.

2.        Moonstone

This gentle pearly stone is the epitome of calm and flow. It was believed by the ancients to be made of solidified moonbeams, and it has a tangible connection to the Moon and her cycles. Women have traditionally used moonstone to help harmonise their menstrual cycles and ease cramping. Hold a piece to your lower belly and breathe deeply and slowly. Imagine breathing in the energy of the moonstone and breathing out the tension and pain.* Whether you menstruate or not, moonstone can help you flow more gracefully with life's changes. Lots of women find it much easier to give than receive. Moonstone puts you into a receptive state where you allow others to help you and can accept their gifts with grace.

1.        Rose Quartz

It may come as no surprise that my number one choice for building self worth is rose quartz. This gentle pink crystal is the archetypal stone of love and is sacred to the goddess Aphrodite herself. Loving another person fully from your heart begins with finding love and acceptance for yourself. I often reach for rose quartz to place on the heart chakra, but I may also place pieces around the body to create a loving energy for relaxation, helping my client soak in those warm and rosy vibes. You can try placing a piece of rose quartz in your bath water to help you feel more loving towards your body, encouraging you to treat your physical body as the sacred vessel for your spirit. Why not try this self-esteem boosting ritual?
